It is made from a mix of “rice-grain” minced pork, and filled in natural or synthetic casings. It is large in size (3-4kg) and is subtly flavoured with salt and natural flavourings. It is matured for 50-60 days so that the lean and fatty parts amalgamate well. The colour is bright red, almost a ruby shade.
